The grand opening ceremony of the Coated Abrasives Bekasi Plant was held on 20th November 2019 at Bekasi, Indonesia. Over 70 people attended the event, including customers and employees.
Following the official part of the opening, including the Indonesian traditional ribbon cutting, a welcome speech and a traditional Indonesian opening dance show, all guests participated in a guided tour through the new plant. They had the opportunity to take a look at Saint-Gobain Abrasives’ technology that converts high quality coated abrasives to many forms and sizes and delivers around the world.
This CA Bekesi plant focuses on advanced technology for various type of Coated Abrasives products and some hand sanding machines. This platform will strengthen Saint-Gobain in Southeast Asia market and deliver premium performance products to consumers.
