“SEAM has been a fantastic catalyst in embarking the entire abrasives industry and its supply chain on the sustainability journey. As a founding and active member of SEAM, Saint-Gobain Abrasives are fully engaged, we have committed our teams towards carbon neutrality, water discharge and waste elimination, to help play our part in making the world a better home. It’s more than an expectation, making a positive contribution has become a requirement for our employees and our stakeholders and we are committed to reporting annually on our performance by publishing the evolution of the Sustainability and Responsibility indicators” stated Xavier Orlhac VP Saint-Gobain Abrasives, Europe Middle-East Africa. |
The SEAM program guides member companies to continuously improve on production methods by focusing their effort on specific targets falling under the three pillars of sustainability: environment, labor, economy. Members of the SEAM program have chosen sustainable targets in 2020 and are now working on improving their performance with a status report to be published in October. |
