Apprenticeship Collaboration with AutoRaise

Saint-Gobain Abrasives are working with AutoRaise, a charity to help the UK vehicle repair industry, to fund apprenticeships and attract young people into the Automotive Aftermarket industry.  More than £125,000 has been transferred from Saint-Gobain Abrasives’ levy pot to enable AutoRaise to facilitate funding 10 new apprenticeships into bodyshops.

AutoRaise can assist bodyshops in recruiting young people to take on Apprenticeships and support them with guidance on approved training providers and the standards required. This particularly helps bodyshops that have limited experience and knowledge of Apprenticeships, as well as general recruitment and retention.  It also ensures a smooth process for everyone involved and that the Apprentice gets the most out of the opportunity.

This initiative ties in with Saint-Gobain Abrasives’ career development strategy, with a focus on developing talent and skills across the industries it operates in. The collaboration helps to support apprenticeships and social mobility to help provide employment opportunities for young people.

This joint partnership helps secure the future of the vehicle repair industry and the talent of tomorrow.
